MHB sponsor of the 2008 Showcase of Wine and Cheese

The 2008 Showcase of Wine and Cheese was held Friday, February 22nd at the Oregon Convention Center, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of the Portland Metropolitan area.

About the Event

Upon arrival at The Portland Showcase of Wine & Cheese, guests received a complimentary wine glass and a booklet to guide them through the hundreds of wine samples.  A $40 ticket provided complete access to all the wines - from Chardonnays to Zinfandels. More than 250 varieties of wines from the Northwest and beyond (many of which were Mt. Hood suppliers) were available for sampling.

The Showcase of Wine & Cheese, of course had plenty of cheese to go around.With cheeses from Bel Gioioso, Oregon Gourmet Cheese, Kerry gold, and many others, the perfect cheese was available to compliment a favorite wine!

The goal for the Showcase was to raise $1 million, it came very close by raising an outstanding $932,209!  Attendees of the event claimed that this years Showcase was the best ever.
