Bend Beer Distributor Sells to Mt. Hood Beverage

May 12, 2008--High Desert Beverage Distributors, a Central Oregon beer and wine distributor for the past 20 years with warehouse operations in Bend and Burns, announced Friday May 9, 2008 the sale of its real estate and remaining beverage distribution operations.

High Desert’s warehouse facility in Bend located at 20735 High Desert Lane, as well as its warehouse facility in Burns, was sold to G4 LLC, a Washington real estate investment firm.

High Desert’s Anheuser-Busch related beverage brands and distribution rights were sold to Western Beverage Company of Eugene who will service all of Deschutes, Crook and Harney counties and to Morgan Distributing, Inc. of Oregon City who will assume the distribution rights for the Anheuser-Busch brands in Jefferson County. Western Beverage will operate out of the facility formerly occupied by Mt. Hood Beverage on SE 9th Street in Bend.

The remainder of High Desert’s beverage brands and distribution rights, including those of Coors, Heineken, Pabst and Rockstar, were sold to Mt. Hood Beverage Company of Portland who will move its Bend operation into the warehouse facility previously occupied by High Desert Beverage, where it has entered into a long term lease. Mt. Hood will add these brands to its existing portfolio which includes Miller, Corona, Deschutes, Gallo, Diageo and other beer, wine, energy, wellness and water drinks.
